On July 9, the GACC West together with Gereon Meyer (Institute of Innovation and Technology VDI/VDE-IT) and Sven Beiker (Silicon Valley Mobility) hosted the 2nd German-U.S. Future Mobility Night at the German Consulate General in San Francisco. Around 100 key representatives of regulators, corporations, startups, and research institutions from Germany and the U.S. came together to discuss the future prospects and challenges of an automated transportation and mobility system. The Mobility Night featured a keynote from Bernard Soriano, the Deputy Director of the California Department of Motor Vehicles and a panel discussion with Barbara Lenz (DLR Institute for Transport Research), Dominik Notz (BMW), Hermann Kränzle (TÜV Nord), and Jennifer Wahnschaff (Continental). The GACC West would like to thank the German Consulate for kindly hosting the event and our sponsors BMW and TÜV Nord for making this event possible.
