The San Francisco chapter of the Junior Chamber International Germany was founded in 2012 by the German American Chamber of Commerce in San Francisco in close cooperation with young managers and entrepreneurs.

Junge Union Visits Silicon Valley

On November 12th, the Junior Chamber International/ Wirtschaftsjunioren San Francisco and the GACC West welcomed 20 national board members of the CDU’s "under 35 organization", the Junge Union, to San Francisco. In a breakfast briefing Rene van den Hoevel, Managing Director of the GACC West, gave an overview of the Silicon Valley with a German-American perspective. John Rockwell (Senior Counsel at Foley & Lardner LLP), Sven Beiker (Former Executive Director, Center for Automotive Research at Stanford) and Tobias Pischl (Senior Product Manager at Symantec) gave interesting insights into topics around venture capital financing trends in the Silicon Valley, E-Mobility/ autonomous driving and IT security in an Internet of Things World. The GACC West would like to thank Foley & Lardner for hosting the event.
